These filing deadlines are for major party candidates. Major party candidates must meet earlier deadlines in order to participate in the primary. Independent candidates have later filing deadlines and will only be on the ballot in the general election.
Weston County Assessor
The assessor determines the value of property for tax purposes. The assessor is responsible for identifying property and its owners, listing property values on the assessment roll, and applying legal exemptions.
Weston County Attorney
The county attorney is the chief prosecutor for the district, representing the government in criminal cases. The attorney investigates crimes, decides whether or not to bring charges against suspects, negotiates plea bargains, and tries cases before juries or judges.

Weston County Clerk
The county clerk is the chief elections official of the county and provides and maintains the accounting and financial records of the county. The Clerk also maintains records of vital statistics and real estate transactions, records wills, and issues marriage licenses and vehicle titles.
Weston County Clerk of the District Court
The clerk of the district court is the court's record keeper, filing and maintaining legal documents. The clerk oversees filings, collects fees, and may administer oaths.
Weston County Commissioner Positions 1, 2 and 3
The board of commissioners leads the county government—passing legislation and administering services and programs. Commissioners approve budgets, hire staff, and set policy. The board may elect some of its members to leadership positions, such as president or chairperson, which are usually held for one-year terms
Weston County Coroner
The coroner is responsible for investigating deaths within the county. The coroner performs autopsies, conducts inquiries, and determines the cause of death. This office also maintains related records and handles the personal effects of the deceased
Weston County Sheriff
The sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer for the county. The sheriff oversees the county’s law enforcement department, including deputies and administrative support. County sheriffs typically enforce the law in unincorporated areas within a county, but they also will sometimes provide law enforcement services to municipalities that do not have their own police departments. County sheriffs are in charge of county jails. They are sometimes called upon to serve subpoenas, protection orders, and eviction notices

The treasurer serves as the storehouse of county funds, managing investments and debt
